Chelsea youngster Dastan Satpayev played his first competitive minutes for Burnley today, and we have the highlights.

The fact that a large group of Chelsea players had an extended holiday after the World Cup meant extra opportunities for youngsters and squad players to shine on the preseason tour, and without doubt one of the big beneficiaries was Dastan Satpayev.

The young striker looked great, and his performances there probably helped him get a really good loan move to Burnley, who are expected to compete at the top of the Championship.

The young striker came on for the final half an hour and got a lot of touches.

Usually a player on the shoulder of the last defender, he ended up dropping deep a lot here. He had some clumsy, nervy moments, but that’s to be expected for an 18 year old playing his first minutes after taking a huge step up.

He couldn’t help his team avoid a bad defeat to West Brom, but we’re sure a start is coming his way soon.
