A video shows Milan centre-back Strahinja Pavlovic deliberately sabotaging the penalty spot at San Siro last night, seconds before Nicolae Stanciu’s late error.

Milan defender Pavlovic might be partially responsible for Stanciu’s late penalty kick miss on Thursday, which allowed the Rossoneri to savage a point against strugglers Genoa.

The Grifone were awarded a late spot kick in the stoppages, but while his Milan teammates protested with the referee, Pavlovic was seen walking over to the spot to dig a small hole with his feet: four times with his left one and two with his right one.

The Serbian openly sabotaged the spot, so much so that the referee Maurizio Mariani gave him a yellow card for unsporting behaviour, as Gazzetta reports.

Genoa’s Stanciu already had the ball in his hands and even noticed Pavlovic scrape the ground with his foot, but didn’t say a word and then skyrocketed the penalty kick to send San Siro wild.
