Villa's goal struggles continue as Wolves lead at Molineux 😅 | OneFootball

Aston Villa have gone from potential title contention to looking over their shoulder in recent weeks and it's largely due to their struggles in front of goal.

They have continued as they trail to Wolves at Molineux. 

Coming into the game against the bottom side, Unai Emery's side had scored just five goals in their previous seven league games, a period which has seen them pick up just nine points. 

That lack of threat in the final third shows no sign of changing with both Ollie Waktins and Morgan Rogers struggling for form. 

Perhaps Tammy Abraham could be the answer at some point? He's scored in his last two games and has more goals against Wolves (6) than any other side in his career. 

João Gomes' brilliant strike just after the hour made the need for a goal even more pressing. 

With Champions League qualification rivals Chelsea and Manchester United in their next two games, a win here is absolutely vital for Villa.
