Vinicius Balieiro has taken legal action against Santos seeking around R$ 325 thousand over delayed payments, penalties and damages. ESPN reports that the claim relates to his spell at the club and subsequent loans.
He alleges his base salary was reduced in 2023 after a loan to Ituano. His pay was split during the loan, but on returning Santos kept paying R$ 52 thousand until the end of that year, which he argues affected his rights.
His defence also claims he went more than three months without wages in 2025 while on loan at Chapecoense and is seeking correction for late salary. He further asks for a fine against Santos for delaying exit paperwork and a promised “bicho” bonus.
The breakdown sought includes R$ 136.800,00 in salary difference and FGTS, R$ 14.333,81 for the “bicho”, R$ 20.000,00 for late-salary correction, a R$ 102.000,00 CLT fine and R$ 51.000,00 for moral damages, totalling R$ 324.133,81.
Santos has been cited in the labour court and has filed a defence. The club now awaits the case outcome.
Born in Campinas in May 1999, Balieiro joined Santos in 2017 for the under-20s after progressing at Paulista de Jundiaí. He was promoted to the first team in 2020, was loaned to Ituano in 2023 and to Chapecoense in 2025, where he sustained ACL and MCL injuries. His contract expired and was not renewed.
