Vitinha will miss Paris Saint-Germain’s trip to Nantes on Wednesday, the rearranged Ligue 1 matchday 26 fixture, due to right heel inflammation. His involvement at Angers on Saturday is considered unlikely, and his availability to face Bayern Munich on 28 April remains uncertain.

The midfielder left early in the 1-2 defeat by Lyon. The club said in a statement that he has inflammation in his right heel, will continue treatment over the next few days, and will be reassessed at the end of the week.

PSG have ruled him out for Nantes at 19:00, with a late-week decision to follow for Angers at 19:00 that is not impossible if his symptoms ease. Any call will depend on how he feels and the verdict of the medical and coaching staff.

His absence would alter PSG’s attacking patterns. Fabian Ruiz returned after three months out with a 20-minute cameo against Lyon, while Senny Mayulu is a relay option but is still searching for rhythm in 2026.

The only firm midfield certainties are Warren Zaïre-Emery, who had started 40 games in a row before Lyon, and Joao Neves, who came out of his match at Liverpool exhausted. There is also the line that, had this week been a final, Vitinha might have featured, yet the framing of the injury still leaves room for doubt before the semi-final first leg against Bayern.
