Volendam beat Utrecht 2-1 at Kras Stadion to rise from 16th to 15th in the Eredivisie.

Joel Ideho opened the scoring in the 10th minute, finishing Bradley Kuwas' pass. Kuwas then doubled the lead (42.) from Dave Kwakman's assist.

After the restart, Victor Jensen pulled one back (49.) from Sebastian Haller's assist. Utrecht pressed for a leveller, but Kayne van Oevelen made five saves to preserve the advantage.

Jensen later received treatment and was substituted, as the visitors continued to force the issue down the stretch.

Utrecht tallied 16 attempts and had 54.7% possession, plus six corners. Volendam registered seven attempts and converted both first half chances that mattered.

Next, Volendam visit Ajax. Utrecht host KRC Genk in the Europa League.
