Walsall expect Aaron Pressley boost as Roman Dixon injury update given | OneFootball

Walsall expect top scorer Aaron Pressley to be in contention for Saturday’s trip to Tranmere Rovers after missing the 2-0 win over Port Vale.

As reported by ExpressAndStar.com, head coach Lee Grant expects him to be in the frame, with recovery on track and a return at Prenton Park likely.

Pressley has scored five goals in all competitions this season.

Antony Evans is sidelined until the end of this year with a hamstring injury. Alex Pattison, also hamstring, has suffered a setback and will be out until at least January.

Full-back Roman Dixon was forced off after 18 minutes of Tuesday’s 6-1 defeat to Stevenage, his first outing after a seven-game lay-off.

The plan had been to give him 45 minutes, but he did not feel comfortable. Grant does not believe the issue is serious and withdrew him to avoid risk.

Walsall will keep building his minutes and aim to get him to a point where he can sustain longer spells, although he is not there yet.
