Should he get the green light to leave on loan this winter, Joshua Zirkzee will have his pick of the bunch when it comes to his new venture.

The Manchester United star is attracting interest week-by-week in the build-up to the January transfer window, with his suitors seemingly keeping tabs on his uncertain situation at Old Trafford.

Recently, reports have suggested that West Ham United are preparing a loan approach for Zirkzee after identifying him as an ideal candidate to try and turn their calamitous situation around at the London Stadium.

Serie A outfits, such as AS Roma, are also admirers of the 24-year-old, while Sport Witness relayed claims on Monday that both Sevilla and Real Betis are now in the mix, the latter of which would see him reunite with former Red Devils teammate, Antony.

Zirkzee has been granted only four Premier League appearances this term.

His lengthiest cameo came in the form of a 59-minute stint off the bench when he replaced the injured Matheus Cunha against Burnley at the end of August.

He subsequently featured for 10 minutes in the Manchester derby, for five minutes in the defeat to Brentford and for eight minutes over the weekend in the win over Brighton and Hove Albion.

Why Zirkzee might be made to stay at Old Trafford

Even though Ruben Amorim is clearly utilising Zirkzee as sparingly as possible, United chiefs will reportedly stand in the way of his prospective departure in January.

The forthcoming AFCON tournament is likely to see Amorim forced to navigate the absences of key forwards Bryan Mbeumo (Cameroon) and Amad Diallo (Ivory Coast). As a result, Zirkzee is poised to see his pleas fall on deaf ears.

He is said to be keen to leave in order to aid his chances of representing the Netherlands at the World Cup next summer, but will know full well that he has no chance of doing so unless his game time increases substantially.
