Motherwell 1-1 Rangers at Fir Park as the visitors stay second in the Scottish Premiership.

Nicolas Raskin put Rangers in front in the sixth minute, drilling into the bottom corner from Mohammed Diomande's through ball.

Jack Butland preserved the lead with sharp saves, tipping away efforts from Emmanuel Longelo and Elijah Just. At the other end, Calum Ward twice denied Youssef Chermiti from close range.

Substitute Eythor Björgólfsson added presence for the hosts after coming on (69.), testing Butland with a header and stretching the away defence.

Motherwell were reduced to ten when Lukas Fadinger was sent off (78.).

The hosts refused to fold and levelled late, Stephen Welsh sweeping in after Björgólfsson's cushioned header (89.).

Motherwell finished with 19 attempts and 63.4% possession. Rangers registered 10 attempts.
