Albion are negotiating a new contract with attacker Isaac Price, who has become central to James Morrison’s side.
According to ExpressAndStar.com, talks are at an early stage and any agreement would reflect his status in the squad.
Price, 22, struck twice in Sunday’s 3-1 win over Burnley, including a fine long-range effort to put Albion ahead soon after the break.
He joined from Standard Liege in January 2025 in a £2.5 million deal and his performances have boosted his value. He has three years left on a contract running to 2029 and Albion want to secure his future.
The former Everton youngster scored nine goals last season, his first full campaign at The Hawthorns. After an early dip, he excelled from spring under Morrison, who used him from the left.
He has 10 goals in 32 caps for Northern Ireland.
Albion are expected to add the natural winger Morrison wants before the transfer window closes next Tuesday, 1 September.
The club are also working to secure the futures of academy prospects Cole Deeming and Harry Whitwell. Whitwell scored against Burnley to continue a strong start, while Deeming is expected to agree new terms then head out on loan.
