West Ham ‘have enquired’ about Jamie Vardy as striker considers next move | OneFootball

West Ham are monitoring free agent Jamie Vardy as he weighs up his next move, according to Sky Sports.

Separately, Ben Jacobs reports the Championship club have enquired about the 39-year-old’s availability as they search for a striker.

Vardy left Cremonese this summer after a one-year deal following his Leicester exit at the end of the 2024/25 season. He scored seven goals and delivered three assists in 29 appearances, but the club were relegated. He is without a team and has been training alone.

West Ham are looking to add a third centre-forward to Nuno Espirito Santo’s squad, and are among the favourites for promotion this season.

Earlier this summer Vardy returned to Leicester and posted Instagram footage of fitness work at Seagrave, wearing the club’s new training kit inside the dome.

A Leicester return is not on the cards, and he intends to continue playing rather than retire.
