Chelsea star Axel Disasi’s move to West Ham United has been deemed ‘complicated’ in recent hours, according to journalist Jacob Steinberg.
The 27-year-old centre-back featured for Aston Villa on loan in the second half of last term and he was at the centre of attention in the last transfer window.
Crystal Palace considered him as an option in the event of Marc Guehi’s departure and it was suggested that despite West Ham’s attempts to sign him on deadline day, he was reluctant to join the Hammers.
Disasi failed to secure a move and stayed at Stamford Bridge.
He has not featured in a single game for the Chelsea first-team and the Blues are looking to offload him in the winter.
West Ham have renewed their interest in the 27-year-old as Nuno Espirito Santo is keen to add a centre-back to his squad.

Disasi gave the green light to a move to West Ham, but the Hammers are still cautious about whether it will happen and it has been dubbed ‘complicated’.
Now with less than two hours remaining in the window, West Ham and Chelsea are in a race against time to get the deal over the line.

West Ham have also enquired about Hull City’s John Egan, but they are not the only club keen, as Ipswich Town are admirers of him as well.
The Hammers are relying on Disasi going through with the move and it is possible the defender is waiting to see if any other options come up before the window closes.
