Leicester City fans expressed their disappointment at Russell Martin during the team's 2-1 loss to Burton Albion
Leicester City fans expressed their frustration with Russell Martin after their 2-1 loss to Burton Albion on Saturday.
The Foxes have earned just one point from a possible six from their opening two games of the new League One season.
The club are aiming to earn promotion back to the Championship at the first possible opportunity, and the 40-year-old was brought in over the summer to oversee that task.
Goals from Matthew Dennis and Khaogelo Chauke gave the visitors a 2-0 lead before Wes Burns pulled one back before half-time.
However, Martin’s side went down to 10-men after just half an hour, with Oliver Skipp being shown a red card.
It has left Leicester winless from their opening two league fixtures, with pressure already mounting on the head coach this early into the campaign.

Leicester fans were filmed expressing their frustrations with Martin during the 2-1 loss to Burton on Saturday afternoon.
The supporters have made it clear that they are already losing patience with the former Southampton boss, with pressure mounting on his position after just two games.
“You’re not fit to wear the shirt,” chanted the Leicester supporters at the King Power Stadium, via All About League One on X.
Martin was appointed as head coach in the summer following the club’s relegation from the Championship.
The Foxes finished five points from safety, but were docked six points due to breaching the profit and sustainability rules (PSR), which ultimately proved the difference.
Leicester suffered back-to-back relegations from the Premier League and the second tier, and will now be aiming to earn their place back in the Championship straight away.
But it’s been a difficult start to the campaign, and Martin could be under even more pressure if the team doesn’t get back to winning ways soon.
Leicester fans have urged Martin to evolve his tactical approach, claiming it isn’t suited to the player available to him at the moment.
However, some fans believe that the former Rangers boss still deserves to be given time, highlighting their upcoming run of games as an opportunity to earn some victories.
But Martin has been criticised for his decision to take off Admir Bristic given how effective his height could’ve been against Burton when chasing the game.
Fans are hoping that the defeat to Burton leads to a reaction from Martin and the players, suggesting a lot of changes are needed.
The Foxes return to action on Tuesday when they face Ipswich Town in the second round of the EFL Cup.

Martin has a strict possession-based style of play that he has adhered to at all times throughout his coaching career.
And Leicester have presumably appointed him knowing this, and should give him time to successfully implement this way of playing.
However, Martin has to show some pragmatism and allow for minor alterations and adjustments, as ultimately it’s all about winning.
If Leicester continue in this vein of form into September, then it will be a tough time for the 40-year-old, and he could quickly find his position under significant pressure.
