Nathan Jones' wild celebrations following Charlton's victory over Stoke on Wednesday has got fans talking
Nathan Jones has once again come back to haunt Stoke City, with Tyreece Campbell’s late goal gifting Charlton Athletic all three points at the Valley to the Potters’ expense.
Charlton refuse to be dragged into the EFL Championship relegation battle, taking seven points from their last three games with a clean sheet in all three, including their latest victory over Stoke on Wednesday evening.
The Addicks have proven to be a tricky opponent for numerous clubs across the division since their promotion from League One last season, and last night's result and performance are indicative of how the club has been set up under Welsh boss Nathan Jones this season.
Jones, a polarising figure across the sports landscape, often wears his heart on his sleeve and is not afraid to express his frustration in defeat, nor his elation in victory, which was shown on full display on Wednesday night, which has got fans talking.

Jones and Stoke have history.
The former Southampton and Luton Town boss joined the Potters from the Hatters back in January 2019, and his tenure in the Potteries went about as badly as it could have possibly gone.
With just six wins in 38 matches, statistically, only two permanent managers since World War II have a worse record at Stoke, namely Chris Kamara and Paul Lambert, with Jones having the same win percentage (15.79%) as Narcis Pelach.
With that, it’s fair to suggest that the 52-year-old and his former side don’t get along, and following Charlton’s win on Wednesday night, he didn’t think twice about putting his emotions on show.
Indeed, Jones lets out a few fist pumps before seemingly shouting something over to the away supporters, which, if you can lip-read, has certainly got both sets of fans talking.
Of course, Charlton fans will love Jones' reaction after he guided the Addicks to all three points against his former side.
Whenever Jones and Stoke cross paths, there is always tension in the air, with Potters supporters consistently eager to let their feelings towards him be known. As this Charlton fan has put it, his giving it back is entirely reasonable.
Nathan Jones: You either love him or you hate him.
In the reverse fixture earlier this season, Stoke raced into a 3-0 lead early on, and the home support then largely focused their attention on Jones in the Charlton dugout. Now, for this season at least, he has got his revenge.

Whilst Jones’ reaction will likely remain the main talking point of the game, which had chances few and far between, it cannot be understated just how big a victory this most recent result is for Charlton.
Stoke have been in abysmal form for some months now, with Mark Robins’ side falling some way from the top-six conversation. Though, despite that, Charlton still had to ensure that they were at the top of their game to secure all three points, which, fortunately for them, they did.
The Addicks now move seven points clear of the relegation zone and level on points with both Sheffield United and Norwich City, both of whom have undergone excellent resurgences under Chris Wilder and Philippe Clement, respectively.
Charlton supporters should have all the belief that they need that they can stay up this season. Under the guidance of Jones, the club has risen from League One obscurity to a solid Championship outfit.
Jones is a bit like Marmite; you either love him or you hate him, and Charlton fans certainly love him, and will do even more so if he can indeed keep the club afloat this campaign, which is looking increasingly likely.
