Fabrizio Angileri and Zakaria Labyad are around two weeks from being ready to debut for Corinthians, with Dorival Júnior pointing to their recent inactivity. According to Globo.com, the head coach said both need extra physical preparation after long periods without playing.
Angileri has been announced and is training at CT Joaquim Grava. Zakaria has not yet been officially unveiled and is not registered in the CBF’s BID.
Angileri last featured on 21 December 2025, the second leg of the Copa do Brasil final against Vasco. He did not renew after his deal expired on 31 December, then agreed a new contract early this month. Zakaria’s most recent match was on 22 November last year.
Both arrived in São Paulo on the night of the 8th, went straight to Neo Química Arena and watched the derby defeat to Palmeiras in the seventh round of the Campeonato Paulista. Midfielder Allan landed two days later and has already played twice.
Speaking after the 1-0 win over São Bernardo on Sunday in the eighth and decisive round of the first phase of the Paulistão, Dorival said it will take a little longer and not this week. He suggested the end of the second week as a possible point for their inclusion, adding Angileri’s conditioning could bring him in before Zakaria.
Corinthians visit Athletico-PR on Thursday at 19:30 Brasília time at Arena da Baixada in Curitiba, in a rescheduled fixture from the second round of the Campeonato Brasileiro.
