The young Etoile Sportive du Sahel goalkeeper, Anas Khardani, has just signed with the Saudi side Al-Riyad for a fee of $250,000.

At just 19 years old, this last line of defense is well-known to fans of the Sahelian club as well as the Tunisian league. Promoted to the ESS first team in 2023, he waited until the 2024-2025 season to earn the technical staff’s trust and be named the number one choice ahead of Ali Jemal and Raed Gazeh.

Across 19 matches in all competitions last season, Khardani kept 8 clean sheets and conceded only 14 goals—a testament to his talent between the posts.

The Kairouan native was included in Sami Trabelsi’s extended squad list for the most recent Eagles of Carthage camp, but he has yet to make his debut with the national team.
