A new federation-by-federation snapshot sets out who dominates Brazil’s state leagues, listing the biggest champions, most frequent runners-up and current holders on the eve of the 2026 season.
According to Globo.com, ABC remain the country’s most prolific state winners, with 57 Potiguar titles. América-RN lead the runners-up list on 33 and arrive as reigning champions with 39 overall.
In Minas Gerais, Atlético-MG have 50 titles, lead the runners-up list on 39, and defend the crown. In São Paulo, Corinthians are record champions on 31 and holders, with Palmeiras leading the runners-up list on 27.
In Rio de Janeiro, Flamengo dominate the Carioca totals with 39 titles and 35 runners-up finishes, and they are the current champions.
Bahia are on 51 titles and keep the trophy, while Vitória lead the runners-up list on 29. In Ceará state, Ceará have 47, with Fortaleza the most frequent runners-up on 28.
In Rio Grande do Sul, Internacional lead with 46 and hold the crown, while Grêmio have 28 runners-up finishes. In Paraná, Coritiba have 39 titles and 23 runners-up finishes, but Operário-PR are the current champions on two.
In Acre, Rio Branco-AC have 49 titles and 24 runners-up finishes, though Independência-AC are the holders. In Amazonas, Nacional-AM lead with 43, while Amazonas have two titles and the latest crown.
In Pará, Paysandu have 50 titles and 40 runners-up finishes, though Remo are holders with 48 overall. In Maranhão, Sampaio Corrêa lead on 37 titles and 31 runners-up finishes, yet Maranhão are champions on 18.
