An explanation for the early withdrawal of Real Madrid star Eduardo Camavinga in the club’s latest outing has come to the fore online.
And the news will no doubt come as a source of relief for those of a Blancos persuasion.
This comes amid confirmation that the Frenchman has not suffered any kind of setback on the injury front.
Camavinga was for his part in from the off this evening, as Real Madrid made the trip to Greece for a Champions League clash with Olympiacos.
The Frenchman enjoyed a solid first-half, capped by a fine assist for Kylian Mbappé.
In turn, it came as a major surprise when Camavinga failed to emerge following the interval, replaced in Xabi Alonso’s XI by Dani Ceballos.
With the 23-year-old a near-constant injury concern, this development marked a major source of concern for Los Blancos’ supporters.
As confirmed by journalist José Luis Sánchez of El Chiringuito TV, however:
‘Camavinga was substituted due to the bad cold he has; it was hard for him to breathe.’
