The Trophée des Champions 2026 between RC Lens and PSG will take place at Stade Bollaert on Sunday at 20.45 on Ligue 1+.
L'Équipe reports that the LFP’s board meeting on 3 June ended with a draw to determine the ground, concluding a long-running process that has now landed in Lens.
The fixture was initially earmarked for overseas, with proposals from Côte d'Ivoire and Congo Brazzaville. Abidjan was ahead, but doubts arose after the women’s League Cup final between OL Lyonnes and PSG finished 1-0 and several players returned unwell.
The LFP then opted to keep the match in France, but the Stade de France was unavailable that weekend. Lens proposed Bordeaux, which was not pursued. With neither club agreeing to host, the decision followed that route.
After winning the UEFA Super Cup 2-1 against Aston Villa in Salzburg on Wednesday in front of nearly 7,000 supporters, PSG will have fewer in Lens. The Collectif Ultras Paris plans a boycott due to a 2,000-ticket away allocation, matching Bollaert’s European set-up, and says such a match should be on neutral ground.
The DNLH has classified the game as high risk, and the Pas-de-Calais prefecture has announced measures governing the travel of PSG supporters.
