Wilfried Gnonto joins ACF Fiorentina on loan | OneFootball

Leeds United can confirm Wilfried Gnonto has joined ACF Fiorentina on loan until the end of the 2026/27 season.

The forward links up with the Serie A side on a temporary basis and in doing so returns to his home nation of Italy, having left in 2020.

Gnonto joined the Whites in August 2022 and has been a regular member of the squad since arriving, amassing just short of 150 appearances for the club.

A hugely popular member of the team, Willy played a key role in helping the club to achieve promotion back to the Premier League in the 2024/25 campaign, scoring nine goals and grabbing six assists as the Whites lifted the Sky Bet Championship trophy.

Last term, the Italy international made 29 appearances across all competitions, helping United retain their Premier League status and reach the semi-finals of the Emirates FA Cup.

Gnonto heads to a Fiorentina side who will be looking to improve on last season’s 15th-place finish in Serie A under the newly appointed Fabio Grosso. In the previous campaign, the Viola also reached the semi-finals of the UEFA Conference League.
