Fiorentina sign Pedro Goncalves and Wilfried Gnonto on loan with options to buy | OneFootball

Fiorentina have completed the loan signings of Pedro Goncalves from Sporting CP and Wilfried Gnonto from Leeds United, both including options to buy at the end of the season. The Italian transfer window shut at 19.00 UK time, and the contracts were registered this evening.

Goncalves arrived in a late deal featuring a €2.5 million loan fee and a €22.5 million option. The club said in a statement that the option could become an obligation if certain conditions are met during the campaign.

The Portugal international winger has four senior caps and recently turned 28.

Gnonto joins on loan for around one million euros with an option to buy set at 15 million euros. He travelled to Florence last night for medical tests and had to wait until Leeds United secured a replacement before being released.

The 22-year-old came through Inter’s academy but did not play in Serie A, moving to FC Zurich before joining Leeds in 2022. No further Serie A signings can be made unless they are free agents.
