Benfica are not moving for Deportivo winger Yeremay Hernández, who has been offered to the club, as he is not among Mário Branco’s priorities.
Marca reports that Portuguese clubs have made contact over a possible transfer, which is why his name has been linked to Benfica.
The Luz hierarchy have made no formal approach, nor do they intend to, and have not pursued steps to sign the 23-year-old. Recruitment focus is currently on other profiles.
Even so, the winger is understood to be looking for a home in Portugal, in Herdade da Aroeira, which is fuelling talk that he could join the league next season and end up facing Benfica.
This season for Deportivo he has played 38 matches, totalling 2,963 minutes, with 11 goals and 10 assists. He is valued at 25 million euros.
