Kicker reports that Wolfsburg, Bayer Leverkusen, and Sturm Graz have worked out the details of swaps involving centre-backs Jeanuël Belocian and Tim Oermann. The dual sets of loan deals wobbled several times throughout the final weekend of the transfer window. This led to Wolfsburg once again seeking to make a major purchase on the transfer market.

Kicker Leverkusen correspondent Stephan van Nocks nevertheless reports that everything has now been worked out. Wolfsburg will take Belocian on loan as planned. Leverkusen, in turn, will recall summer signing Oermann early from his loan stint at Sturm Graz in Austria. Sturm Graz’s reluctance to release Oermann was evidently what was holding up the Belocian loan.

Will Wolfsburg sign another centre-back?

Kicker and the local Wolfsburger Allgemeine Zeitung report that the Lower Saxon Autostädter have been working on signing Ghanaian centre-back Jonas Adjetey from FC Basel. The 22-year-old’s price tag is supposedly around €10m. This deal – given Wolfsburg’s transfer budget – may potentially now be off the table.
