A new mural marking Wolverhampton Wanderers’ 150th anniversary will be unveiled outside Molineux on Saturday, the eve of the Black Country derby.

According to ExpressAndStar.com, the artwork, commissioned by Wolves’ principal partner and shirt sponsor Midnite, has been installed at the entrance to the Molineux Subway.

Measuring nine metres wide and five metres tall, it features four club greats from different eras, Billy Wright, John Richards, Steve Bull and Raul Jimenez.

Midnite’s head of brand marketing, Andrew Mook, described the anniversary as a special moment for everyone connected to Wolves and said the piece is intended as a gift to supporters. He said it brings together icons across generations in a lasting tribute and reinforces the company’s commitment to the club’s culture and community.

Wolves’ head of partnerships, Dave Thomson, said the project shows what can be achieved through commercial collaboration, praising Midnite’s wish to give back to fans in the 150th season and expressing the club’s gratitude for that proactive investment.
