Wolves are preparing for life in the Championship after relegation was confirmed one week ago, and the club could move for James Tavernier. The Old Gold face a huge summer rebuild after losing their top-flight status.
TEAMtalk reports that Wolves are monitoring the right-back’s situation, and he will be a free agent this summer after deciding to leave Rangers.
Tavernier joined Rangers in 2015 from Wigan Athletic and has made 536 appearances for the club. He is unlikely to make many more, with his departure confirmed.
He is the highest-scoring defender in British football history, with 151 goals, 144 scored for Rangers.
His most prolific season was 2023/24, when he hit 24 in all competitions, including 17 in the Premiership.
Of his career total, 77 have been penalties and 20 have come from direct free-kicks.
