Wolves delivered an awful display in a 2-0 defeat to Brentford, repeatedly lacking quality in the final third.
According to Molineux.news, a dull first half brought little trouble from Brentford, yet Wolves offered even less incision. Jose Sa’s selection surprised some, but he produced several important saves.
A mistake from Ladislav Krejci let Lewis Keane-Potter open the scoring. Brentford soon doubled their lead through Keane-Potter again. Jorgen Strand Larsen later missed from the penalty spot.
Ratings: Jose Sa 6, busy and competent. David Moller Wolfe 6, perhaps Wolves’ best, created chances and worked tirelessly. Joao Gomes 6, neat interplay and a few smart passes.
Ki-Jana Hoever 5, bright in patches but short on end product. Matt Doherty 5, steady and largely quiet. Santiago Bueno 5, assured in possession and likely the pick of the centre-backs.
Ladislav Krejci 4, error for the opener and less comfortable in defence. Andre 5, battled and linked play but lacked impact. Fer Lopez 5, glimpses of promise yet lightweight and often dispossessed.
Hwang Hee-chan 4, loose on the ball and low on confidence. Jorgen Strand Larsen 3, isolated, struggled to hold up play, and his poor penalty summed up his season.
