The matchday 10 and final fixture of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers (Africa Zone) between Cameroon and Angola could be postponed.

The Cameroonian Football Federation has requested to reschedule the match due to the presidential elections in Cameroon, set for October 12.

The match date coincides with the election, prompting a request to move it to October 13, still at the Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium in Yaoundé.

The Indomitable Lions currently sit second in Group D and have all but lost hope of direct qualification, trailing Cape Verde by four points with just two games left in the qualifiers.

Marc Brys's men must secure a win over Mauritius on October 6, then defeat Angola and hope for two slip-ups from the Blue Sharks, or at the very least, lock in one of the four playoff spots.
