Wrexham are already making plans for the summer transfer window
Wrexham are in contention for promotion to the Premier League this season in what is their first year at EFL Championship level since 1982.
The Red Dragons have enjoyed a remarkable rise up the English football pyramid due to the backing of their Hollywood owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney.
Phil Parkinson’s side are sixth in the Championship table despite a 2-1 loss to Hull City on Tuesday night.
The Welsh outfit have never competed in the top flight, but a positive run of form in the final weeks of the campaign could secure them a shot at a Premier League place through the play-offs.
While their league status may be up in the air for the time being, the club will already be laying down plans for the upcoming summer transfer window.
Whether they are in the Premier League or the second tier, Wrexham will be keen to strengthen their first team as part of their continued investment into the squad.

Wrexham are pushing for a number of young players to join the club in the summer in a bid to bolster their academy system.
According to TEAMtalk, the Red Dragons are eyeing moves for Matheos Ferreira, Sonny Finch, Jenson Jones and Finn Geragusian in the upcoming transfer market.
Ferreira is currently plying his trade with Newcastle United, where he has yet to break into Eddie Howe’s first team plans.
The 17-year-old has featured at underage level for the Magpies, and the Championship side have reportedly been monitoring his development over the last year.
Middlesbrough’s Finch is also on the club’s radar, as they look to bolster their young options for next season.
Meanwhile, the Sunderland duo of Jones and Geragusian have both earned reputations as exciting young talents in the Black Cats’ academy system, particularly Geragusian.
The 18-year-old has not yet featured for Régis Le Bris’ side, although he has been called up to the first team, and he is now attracting the attention of Wrexham.
The Red Dragons are also hopeful of completing a permanent move for Manchester City’s Issa Kabore, who has spent the season on loan at the club.
The Championship team are planning for an ambitious summer ahead, regardless of their league status.
Wrexham have bought a lot of experienced players in the last few years in a bid to build a competitive team straight away.
That strategy has worked so far, with the club climbing from the National League to the Championship in quick time.
However, the long-term goals of the team mean that it is now time to start investing in youth, and these four players coming in would all be a great step in the right direction in that regard.
The Wrexham project is quite exciting, and being able to poach top talent from teams like Newcastle, Sunderland and Middlesbrough would be another sign of how far they have come under this ownership.
