Yannick Cahuzac to continue as RC Lens coach with no interim tag | OneFootball

Yannick Cahuzac will continue as RC Lens coach after his promotion this week.

According to L'Équipe, director general Benjamin Parrot said on Thursday there is no interim tag and no time limit on Cahuzac's role. He returned in the summer as an assistant, then was promoted to number one on Tuesday following Dino Toppmöller's exit.

Parrot outlined a support structure, noting sporting director Jean-Louis Leca and stressing Cahuzac arrives well prepared. The objective is to help him move from super tactician to an established head coach.

Leca voiced strong backing for Cahuzac's vision and coaching qualities, recalling that, as a player, Franck Haise would seek his views.

He said Cahuzac is not yet the finished coach, is 41, and understands the club. Having seen him develop at Lorient, Leca added they are aware of his potential and confident he can help restore continuity.
