Yáser Asprilla signs for Galatasaray

Yáser Asprilla is Galatasaray’s latest signing of the winter transfer window. The Colombian winger joins the Istanbul club to strengthen the attacking options for Okan Buruk’s squad.

The player arrives on loan with a purchase option set at €23 million. According to several sources, this option could become mandatory if Asprilla plays a certain number of matches during the second half of the season.

Born in 2003, Asprilla has already been capped 11 times for Colombia. He came through the ranks at Envigado FC before making a name for himself in England with Watford. In the summer of 2024, he moved to Girona for €18 million, where he played 50 matches, scoring four goals and providing two assists. Currently leading the Süper Lig after 19 rounds, Galatasaray are counting on this new addition to maintain their three-point advantage over Fenerbahçe and stay in the hunt for another league title.
