Real Zaragoza are making a late move to reinforce their attack with Jon Karrikaburu on loan. Aragón Deporte reports that Txema Indias is targeting the Real Sociedad striker.

Other Segunda clubs have shown interest, with Deportivo viewed as the main rival for his signature.

A further obstacle is Zaragoza’s limited registration slots, with the club prioritising a centre-back after the arrivals of Rober and Agada. Rubén Sellés said yesterday they are working to strengthen the squad, especially in defence.

Karrikaburu, 23, has scored 25 goals in 117 Segunda appearances across Real Sociedad B in 2021-22, Leganés in 2022-23, when he coincided with Indias, Andorra in 2023-24 and Racing de Santander. He hit eight in 43 for Racing last season including the play-off, with 19 starts.

This season, now in Real Sociedad’s first team, he has played 7 times in the league and Copa, none from the start. Since Matarazzo’s arrival he has not featured.
