Zubimendi and Oyarzabal arrive for Spain camp in understated style | OneFootball

Spain opened their first camp since being crowned world champions in July, with Zubimendi and Oyarzabal arriving together at Las Rozas on Tuesday in low-key fashion.

According to Diario Vasco, the pair walked past RFEF cameras on their way into the facility, their sober look contrasting with team-mates choosing bolder outfits.

Both brought suitcases, backpacks and their clubs’ boot bags, and have now joined the rest of the squad. It is their first appearance together since being honoured at Donostia City Hall at the start of Semana Grande.

The squad also features new faces goalkeeper Josep Martínez of Inter, full-back Iván Fresneda of Sporting de Portugal and forward Roberto Fernández of Espanyol. They were greeted at Las Rozas by head coach Luis de la Fuente.

Spain will play four Nations League Group A matches, starting against England at Wembley on Saturday 26. Three days later they host Croatia at the Sánchez Pizjuán.

That match will be notable, as Luis de la Fuente’s side will wear in Spain for the first time the two stars that mark their world titles, and the stadium is sold out.

The window then takes Spain to Oviedo to face the Czech Republic on Saturday 3 October at the Carlos Tartiere, also sold out. The sequence ends three days later, on Tuesday 6, away to Croatia in Split.
