Al-Ittihad’s move for Sofyan Amrabat is being slowed by a valuation gap as the Saudi club target midfield reinforcements before the new season.
Fanatik reports that Al-Ittihad have submitted an official offer worth 15 million euros, with performance-related add-ons. Fenerbahce are holding firm for 20 million euros net, leaving a shortfall of around five million euros.
Amrabat has emerged as a priority for German head coach Jens Wissing. He wants a foreign holding midfielder after Fabinho left the club.
Talks are ongoing as both sides look for a structure that could satisfy everyone. Al-Ittihad regard the Morocco international as a leading option given his experience in Europe and with his country.
Amrabat remains important at Fenerbahce. He has previously featured for Fiorentina and Manchester United, and his performances for Morocco at major tournaments have attracted interest this window.
