Despite the seriousness of the injury he sustained during the Qatar-UAE Super Shield final, Youcef Atal has chosen to send a message of calm. After undergoing surgery for a complete Achilles tendon rupture suffered against Shabab Al Ahli while playing for Al Sadd, the Algerian full-back is now beginning a lengthy rehabilitation process.

On his social media, the player made a point of reassuring fans about his mental and physical state the day after the operation.

"Thank you all for your messages, the operation went well, Allah has tested me and I accept it with faith. I will come back even stronger, inch’Allah. Al hamdoulilah for everything☝🏼," he wrote,

accompanied by a post-surgery photo.

This is an encouraging sign in a challenging sporting context. Although his absence is expected to last several months, Atal already shows unwavering determination, with the goal of gradually returning to competition without rushing his recovery.
