Attacking midfielder equals Grazi, now Corinthians' second top scorer

The 1-1 draw between Corinthians and Independiente del Valle in the Women's Libertadores will be memorable for Gabi Zanotti. The midfielder scored and reached her 78th goal wearing the black and white jersey. With this achievement, she equaled Grazi and took the second place in the club's historical top scorers, surpassing Gabi Nunes. The top scorer remains Vic Albuquerque, with 121 goals.

The number 10 opened the scoring just 12 minutes into the first half. In a penalty kick, Zanotti walked slowly to the ball and finished precisely in the lower right corner. Goalkeeper Mary guessed the direction of the shot but couldn't prevent the Brabas from taking the lead.

The goal not only consolidated the player's importance in Corinthians' history but also reinforced her prominence in the current season. In 2025, Zanotti has scored 13 goals in 30 matches, trailing only Vic Albuquerque, who has 14 goals in 35 games played so far.

Since joining the club in 2018, the midfielder has accumulated significant achievements and a victorious trajectory. Over the years, Zanotti has won titles in the Libertadores, Brasileirão, Paulistão, and Supercup, totaling 16 trophies lifted with the black and white jersey.

Corinthians' next challenge is this Sunday, October 5th, at 4 PM, against Always Ready. The match will be held at Estádio Deportivo Morón in Buenos Aires, for the second round of Group A in the Women's Libertadores.
