Bayern Munich may have suffered another transfer blow in the January window.

The Bavarian giants have been flying high in the Bundesliga, and are looking unbeatable at the moment, having picked up 50 points from 18 games.

The German champions are unlikely to do any major business in January, and they may end up losing a few transfer targets as a result.

Marc Guehi has already joined Manchester City this month, and it appears that Rayan is close to joining AFC Bournemouth.

Bayern have been keeping a close eye on Rayan’s situation, but there was never any concrete interest in the Brazilian winger.

The Bavarian giants will, at some point, look to find a backup for Harry Kane, as they will not be signing Nicolas Jackson permanently from Chelsea.

Christian Falk explained Bayern’s interest in Rayan:

The Bild journalist said to CFBayern: “It is TRUE: Bayern Munich are considering Vasco Da Gama’s Rayan Vitor as a potential signing. The club is keeping a close eye on the Brazilian. They’re not yet sure when would be the right time to bring the 19-year-old to Munich. Harry Kane is still here and is in the best shape of his career. At the moment, the position is quite secure, and Bayern want to give Kane a new contract. Behind the Englishman, they technically don’t need a striker as they have Serge Gnabry.”

Rayan off to Bournemouth?

According to Fabrizio Romano, Rayan is close to joining Bournemouth in the next few days.

Vasco da Gama have verbally agreed a deal in principle for the Brazilian winger to join the Cherries for a package of around €35m.

The two clus have exchanged documents today, and Bournemouth are scheduling Rayan’s medical later this week if all goes to plan.

The Cherries needed to sign a new winger after selling Antoine Semenyo to Manchester City, and Rayan comes in as a natural replacement.

Rayan is a left‑footed centre‑forward but can play on either flank. The Brazilian scored 14 goals in 34 Brazilian top‑flight matches last season.
