Carlos Corberán will keep academy defender Rubo Iranzo with Valencia's first team for the rest of the season, using him at right-back in training.
According to AS, the head coach has told the academy graduate he will stay with the seniors until the end of term, with four Primera División rounds still to play. Valencia Mestalla's season ended last week with survival under Óscar Sánchez after Miguel Ángel Angulo was dismissed.
The right-back role is set to be bolstered in the summer because Thierry Correia's deal expires and he will not renew. Saravia is also out of contract with his future uncertain, and Valencia are seeking an exit for Foulquier, who has one year left.
Iranzo, from Picanya, has made several senior squads and already debuted for Valencia. He can play centre-back and full-back, though Corberán wants him used on the right.
He now has three weeks to try to convince Corberán he can be an option for the first team next season. He will train daily under the coach, as he has for much of the campaign, now with a more settled place around the group.
