According to Meu Timao, Corinthians’ Comissão de Justiça has finished reviewing corporate card use under former president Andrés Sanchez and sent its report to Conselho Deliberativo chief Romeu Tuma Júnior.
After his dispatch, the case is expected to reach the Comissão de Ética e Disciplina as a reckless management proceeding, with possible suspension or expulsion. The CJ heard finance staff from 2018 to 2020, Sanchez and ex-finance director Matias Ávila.
Prosecutors in São Paulo have denounced Sanchez and former finance superintendent Roberto Gavioli over alleged misuse, citing embezzlement, money laundering and falsifying a tax document, with Gavioli accused of the first two.
The investigation lists more than 200 irregular expenses across 31 invoices between August 2018 and February 2021, and seeks about R$ 480,000 plus 75% in moral damages, around R$ 1.1 million.
The CJ will also examine spending under Duilio Monteiro Alves and Augusto Melo, handling probes individually and chronologically. Duilio is due to be heard next, then Melo. Attendance is not compulsory.
Gaviões da Fiel has called for the trio’s expulsion and, after Monday’s meeting, said it will press for their removal and stage another peaceful protest at Parque São Jorge, focused on Fiel Torcedor voting rights. Separately, a wider inquiry opened in August 2025 has already heard key figures and requested documents, after Sanchez admitted personal outlays and a R$ 80,000 spreadsheet over 40 days emerged from Duilio’s term.
