Corinthians name XI to face Bahia as Garro returns and Raniele starts | OneFootball

Corinthians have confirmed their line-up to face Bahia in Salvador, with kick-off at 16:00 on Sunday at Arena Fonte Nova in round 20 of the Brasileiro, the start of the second half of the season.

According to Meu Timao, Diniz has made changes from the 3-0 win over Remo on Thursday. Matheus Bidu is rested after a thigh issue, so Fabrizio Angileri starts. Rodrigo Garro returns from suspension in place of Zakaria Labyad, and Raniele, newly fit after a left ankle sprain and right knee trauma, comes in for Allan.

There are four further absences. Left-back Hugo Farias remains in physical transition after a left knee injury, and forward Vitinho is at the same stage following a right hip injury and a left hamstring tendon problem. Kayke is rehabbing a left ACL rupture and is only expected back in 2027, while Memphis Depay is on holiday after the Netherlands’ World Cup campaign and is still negotiating a renewal that runs to the end of this month.

Corinthians began the round seventh on 27 points, three behind Bahia and Red Bull Bragantino. Victory could take them fifth if they overturn a four-goal deficit in goal difference to Bragantino.
