Crystal Palace have agreed a deal in principle for Lens boss Pierre Sage to take over as head coach after Oliver Glasner’s departure.

Sky Sports reports that the 47-year-old Frenchman is set to sign a contract running to the summer of 2029, with an option for a further year.

Glasner, an Austrian, delivered Europa Conference League success in his second full season, and announced in January that he would leave at the end of the campaign.

Despite their European triumph, Palace finished 15th in the Premier League, two points and one place behind newly-promoted Leeds United.

The South London club now turn to 2025-26, which will be their 14th consecutive season in the top flight.
