David Jurásek has been included in Czechia’s provisional squad for the 2026 World Cup, a recall for the former Benfica left back who failed to establish himself at the club.

Head coach Miroslav Koubek named a 29-man list that features the Slavia Prague defender. According to Glorioso 1904, Jurásek returns to the national set-up after rejoining Slavia.

Braga goalkeeper Lukas Hornicek is also included as he continues to chase a first senior cap, one of the more intriguing picks in this phase.

There are three debutants, midfielders Hugo Sochurek of Sparta Prague and Alexandr Sojka of Viktoria Plzen, plus forward Christophe Kabongo. Others still awaiting a first cap include Pavel Bucha and Denis Visinsky, both previously called during qualifying.

The headline return is Adam Hlozek of Hoffenheim, back in the frame for the first time since June last year. The squad will be trimmed to 26 on 31 May, ahead of preparations in Prague.
