Fabrizio Romano is reporting that Feyenoord goalkeeper Justin Bijlow is set to join Serie A side Genoa. The goalkeeper is going to have a medical with the Italian side on Tuesday ahead of his move. Should Genoa stay in Serie A next season, Feyenoord will receive €200k and will be able to enjoy a potential 10% sell on clause should Bijlow leave Genoa in the future.
The 27-year-old Bijlow leaves Feyenoord having made 152 appearances for the club. In 2016 he made his senior debut, having made his way through the sides academy into the first team. Between 2021 and 2023 he was a first team regular for the side, but during the 2023/2024 campaign he lost his starting spot. This year Bijlow has only made one appearance for Feyenoord, which came during the KNVB Cup.
Bijlow joins a Genoa side that are currently 16th in Serie A and fighting to avoid relegation. They sit just three points above Lecce and the final relegation spot. Bijlow will be fighting it out with 32-year-old Nicola Leali for the starting spot at Genoa.
