It comes after the Swede oversaw a top-flight run of two wins and one draw which edged the Blues closer to winning the title.

By collecting seven points from our three March assignments, City need just five more from our final three WSL matches this season to be crowned 2025/26 champions.

The month began with a battling 0-0 draw with Aston Villa in what was our first outing following an international break.

But we responded to the disappointment of not collecting three points with a fantastic 5-2 victory over Tottenham Hotspur at the Joie Stadium.

Khadija ‘Bunny’ Shaw wrote her name once again into the WSL’s history books by bagging the earliest and quickest hat-trick in the division’s history.

The Jamaican showed her poacher’s instinct to fire home the opener from a corner before the visitors equalised through Olivia Holdt.

Undeterred, City immediately returned to the offensive and Shaw gave us a two-goal advantage with headers from an Alex Greenwood corner and a Kerolin cross which completed her treble.

The Brazilian went from provider to scorer soon after, with an own goal from Nilden when put under pressure by Vivianne Miedema making it five soon after.

City then closed the month with a superb performance at Old Trafford to beat Manchester United 3-0.

In a first-half display which Jeglertz described as one of our best this season, Miedema headed home from a corner before repeating the trick when meeting a pinpoint Kerstin Casparij cross from the right.

Then, Dutch defender Casparij produced a lung-busting run to meet a lofted Lauren Hemp pass at the back post to fire into the roof of the net.

Jeglertz is joined on the shortlist by Chelsea’s Sonia Bompastor, Arsenal’s Renee Slegers and Liverpool’s Gareth Taylor.
