Al Nassr title-winner Joao Felix was on Friday named the Roshn Saudi League Player of the Month for May, with Brendan Rodgers picking up his first manager award in the Saudi Arabian top flight.

Felix, who less than 24 hours previously helped Al Nassr seal the 2025-26 RSL crown, was rewarded for a massive May in which he proved pivotal to the newly crowned champions’ trophy success.

Al Nassr lost once in their four matches, a run that included four-goal hauls against Al Shabab and Damac and that gripping 1-1 draw at home to title rivals Al Hilal. In that time, Felix scored four times - he hit a hat-trick at Al Shabab - and created the opener in Thursday’s championship decider.

Joao Felix was integral to Al Nassr's title win, with 20 goals & 13 assists in debut RSL season

Friday’s recognition marked the second time the Portugal international, in the running for 2025-26 SPL Player of the Season, was named Player of the Month.

Rodgers, meanwhile, collected the honour for the first time after guiding Al Qadsiah to a fourth-placed finish. In May, the Al Khobar club put together four straight wins, including completing their season double against Al Nassr.

On Thursday, Al Qadsiah closed out the campaign with a 5-1 victory at then-champions Al Ittihad, with Julian Quinones grabbing a hat-trick to secure the RSL golden boot.

Also on Friday, Al Hilal goalkeeper Yassine Bono was, for the second time this term, named Goalkeeper of the Month after keeping three clean sheets from four as the 2023-24 title-winners came home second - a mere two points behind Al Nassr.

Rounding off the monthly awards, Al Fayha teenager Sabri Dahal took home the Young Player prize. The 18-year-old recorded two assists in the vital 4-2 victory at home to Al Riyadh in Matchweek 31, lifting his tally in a superb debut RSL season to three goals and four assists.
