Leeds United will face Manchester United in a pre-season friendly at Dublin’s Croke Park, with ticket details confirmed. Tickets for Leeds season ticket holders and members go on sale from 4pm today, ahead of wider releases. The match is set for 19:30 on Wednesday August 12th.

Croke Park Stadium and TEG Sport said in a statement that pre-sale access also opens on Thursday 2 April to Croke Park Premium and Suite members and to both clubs’ season ticket holders and members, with general sale from 10am on Friday 10 April via Ticketmaster.

Adult tickets start from €50 and under-16s from €25, both plus booking fees. The 82,300-capacity arena is primarily a Gaelic football venue, and the fixture has been sanctioned by the FAI. It will be the stadium’s first football match since 2009.

Leeds are returning to Dublin for a second straight summer after a 1-1 draw with AC Milan at the Aviva Stadium last August. Tens of thousands of Leeds supporters travelled from across Ireland, with others flying in from the UK and Europe.

Both clubs have deep Irish links, with Roy Keane, Denis Irwin, John O’Shea and Frank Stapleton among Manchester United greats, while Gary Kelly and Ian Harte shone for Leeds. Johnny Giles represented both sides.
