Strasbourg swept past Lille 4-1 on Sunday night in Ligue 1, driven by Julio Enciso’s excellence. L'Équipe’s player ratings underlined the contrast, with Enciso influential and Chancel Mbemba enduring a torrid evening.
Enciso was prominent early, producing a deft lobbed pass on 18 minutes and shooting wide on 19.
Guéla Doué’s difficult half-volleyed pass launched the opener on 25 minutes, with Panichelli getting past Mbemba. One minute later Enciso doubled the lead after Romain Perraud lost an aerial duel to Doué. Diego Moreira was denied by Özer on 36 minutes, and Doué was booked.
After the interval Olivier Giroud saw a near-post effort saved by Penders on 56 minutes. Godo made it 3-0 on 58 as Aïssa Mandi lost his man and narrowly played him onside, before Enciso set up Godo for another on 72.
Enciso, who turned 22 two days earlier, went off for Sebastian Nanasi on 76 minutes. Giroud departed to loud boos on 80.
In the ratings, Enciso and Doué received 8/10, with Moreira and Valentin Barco on 7/10. Lille’s back line fared badly, Mbemba, Mandi and Perraud were each given 2/10, while Giroud was marked 3/10. Barco is suspended for Sunday’s PSG match.
