Lyon’s English forward Alejandro Gomes Rodriguez to join Annecy | OneFootball

Olympique Lyonnais’ Alejandro Gomes Rodriguez (17) is set to join Ligue 2 side Annecy until the end of the season, as per a report from L’Équipe. 

England youth international Rodriguez has found game time difficult to come by at Lyon this season, although he did net in a 4-2 win over PAOK in the UEFA Europa League last week. He is now set to spend the second half of the season on loan at Annecy. The forward will join the Ligue 2 side on a straight loan deal that does not include a buy option. Annecy are currently eighth in France’s second tier. 

He will be the second OL forward to leave on deadline day and head to Ligue 2, after Enzo Molebe, bound for Montpellier HSC. At Annecy, Rodriguez will join up with another Englishman, Triston Rowe, who joined the French club on loan from Aston Villa at the start of the campaign.
