Mario Gila ready for Milan medical after €30m agreement with Lazio | OneFootball

Mario Gila is set to undergo his Milan medical tests on Friday, completing the transfer from Lazio for €30m, with half of that going to Real Madrid.

The defender turns 26 next month and has been at the Stadio Olimpico since 2022, but was down to the final year of his contract.

With no renewal in sight, the Biancocelesti accepted the proposal worth €30m from Milan, having also been in talks with Inter, Napoli, Juventus and Atalanta.

Multiple sources this evening state that Gila will be in Milan tonight, so he can undergo the necessary medical tests on Friday.

He is then ready to sign a five-year contract worth €5m net per season, while his agent is expected to pocket €5m in commission.

Lazio are only getting 50 per cent of the €30m fee, thanks to the arrangement they had agreed with Real Madrid when buying the defender for just €6m in 2022.

As part of the deal, La Gazzetta dello Sport claim that Milan will also buy Lazio youth team left-back Lorenzo Calvani for €2.5m.

This is €30m for the total, specifically €27m plus some easy to achieve add-ons.
