Marseille close in on RB Leipzig midfielder Arthur Vermeeren | OneFootball

According to a report from LaMinuteOM and RMC Sport, Olympique de Marseille have reached a full agreement with Red Bull Leipzig over a loan-to-buy move for Belgian midfielder Arthur Vermeeren (20), who is set to arrive in the Phocéen City this evening to complete a move to the Ligue 1 side. Les Olympiens have agreed a loan deal with a buy option in place, with OM covering the full salary of the player. Marseille are currently looking for midfield reinforcements to compensate for the potential departure of Adrien Rabiot (30) before the end of the window, after the Frenchman was involved in a dressing room brawl with Jonathan Rowe (22) who has moved on to Serie A club Bolonga. Vermeeren is a Belgian international who broke through at Royal Antwerp in 2023, before moving to Atletico Madrid and only making five appearances for the La Liga side.
