Matheus Corrêa ‘to make’ Corinthians squad for Coritiba clash

Matheus Corrêa will receive his first opportunity under Dorival Júnior with the senior side, included in Corinthians’ squad to face Coritiba on Wednesday.
TMC reports that the 20-year-old goalkeeper will be among the named players for the Brasileirão fixture. With Felipe Longo still out with an elbow injury, the Under-20 starter becomes the third-choice keeper. In recent games, 16-year-old Gustavo Milani had filled the bench behind Hugo Souza and Kauê.
Corrêa previously appeared on a preliminary list to face Portuguesa in the 2025 Paulistão but did not even take part in the warm-up at Pacaembu. This time, he is expected to be involved pre-match against the Paraná side.
At the club since 2015 after joining at nine, he has been capped by Brazil at Under-17 level for the South American Championship and the World Cup. He is under contract until December 2028.
Now the leading name in goal for the Under-20s under William Batista, he has played 32 games since 2024, conceding 50 times. This season he has impressed early in the Brasileirão Sub-20, where Corinthians have seven points from three rounds.
Corinthians face Coritiba at 21:30 at Neo Química Arena in the fifth round of the Campeonato Brasileiro. Dorival’s side sit third with seven points.
